CTOnews.com September 15 news, today, IDC released a report that, driven by the start of the school season and the 818th e-commerce festival, PC consumer market sales rose 10.2% year-on-year to 2.69 million units in August.

The report points out that demand caused by the domestic epidemic is weak, including sales of 1.15 million units in the small and medium-sized enterprises market, down 15.2% from the same period last year, and 1.12 million units in the major customer market, down 18.6% from the same period last year. The PC market sold 4.97 million units in August, down 4.1 per cent from a year earlier.

CTOnews.com learned that IDC said that sales of notebooks in the consumer market rose 18.4 per cent year-on-year to 2.25 million in August, boosted by the start of the school season. In terms of channels, with the help of the 818 E-commerce Festival, the proportion of e-commerce channels in the consumer notebook market reached 64.0% in August.

In addition, the report predicts that the market sales of PC for small and medium-sized enterprises will reach 14.81 million units by 2025, an increase of 11.3% over 2022, of which the notebook market for small and medium-sized enterprises will reach 7.57 million units, an increase of 22.5% over 2022.
