However, some users in the United States have expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the US version of the iPhone 14 series does not support physical SIM cards. Apple released a new support document today outlining the benefits of using eSIM when traveling abroad.

Apple says the eSIM is safer than the physical SIM because it won't be lost or stolen. Apple also said that eSIM cards do not have the hassle of sending, carrying and replacing physical SIM cards.

The Apple support document also points out that the iPhone XS and newer models can store eight or more eSIM, and that iPhone 13 and newer models can activate two eSIM at the same time, one for use in their own place of residence and one for travel. Also, you can change the activation of one of the stored eSIM in the settings.

According to the supporting document, users can purchase eSIM from local operators when traveling abroad, or purchase prepaid eSIM from global service providers. Users can activate unlocked eSIM 14 models purchased in the United States through more than 400 operators supporting iPhone in 100 markets around the world, and many global service providers also offer prepaid eSIM traffic packages for long-term use in countries around the world.

CTOnews.com learned that at present, domestic operators do not support mobile eSIM, it is reported that the main reason is that the implementation of eSIM is not good for operators, nor is it helpful for them to get customers, and domestic operators do not have a big incentive to promote the popularity of eSIM.
