CTOnews.com reported on September 14 that more than two months after its launch, Nothing Phone (1) accumulated strong sales figures in India through its launch partner Flipkart. These figures are particularly beneficial for new players in competitive markets such as India.

Manu Sharma, vice president and general manager of Nothing India, said Nothing Phone (1) currently had more than 100000 customers in India at the end of August. The Nothing brand sold more than 100000 phones on Flipkart in just 20 sales days.

Sharma also said that the Nothing Phone (1) is currently the best-selling smartphone on Flipkart in the price range above 30000 Indian rupees. This phone has been strongly welcomed by customers.

Nothing said it will soon release its fourth major software update, Nothing OS 1.1.4. Although the company did not specify the exact release date or details of the update, Sharma said the update would provide fixes to Bug, a key issue raised by customers, as well as improvements to cameras and batteries.

When asked about the upcoming Android 13 update, Sharma stressed that the company's top priority is to provide a good software experience within the accelerated release cycle. The release of Android 13 updates and the development schedule of Nothing Phone (1) also make it difficult to integrate updates as soon as possible.

As for the future, Sharma hinted at the upcoming ecosystem devices, but declined to elaborate further.

In the Indian festival, Nothing Phone (1) will usher in a time-limited price reduction and cash-back reward. The 8GB+128GB model sells for 31999 Indian rupees (about 2803.11 yuan) (currently 33999 Indian rupees, about 2978.31 yuan), the 8GB+256GB model for 34999 Indian rupees (about 3065.91 yuan) (currently 36999 Indian rupees, about 3241.11 yuan), and the 12GB+256GB model for 37999 Indian rupees (about 3328.71 yuan) (currently 39999 Indian rupees, about 3503.91 yuan). Customers of the designated bank will also receive an additional cash return of 3000 Indian rupees.

CTOnews.com learned that the Nothing Phone (1) uses Snapdragon 778G+ processor, built-in 4500mAh battery, supports 33W fast charging, and carries Android 12-based Nothing OS.
