Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Unicode Consortium, an organization that maintains the official smartphone emoji (emojis) catalogue, has released the Unicode standard, adding 31 new emoticons, according to reports on the evening of September 14, Beijing time.

The new emoticons include push hands, trembling faces, moose and geese, the long-awaited emoji "Pink Heart" and a WiFi logo.

After the release of the Unicode 15.0 standard, handset manufacturers, operating system manufacturers and application developers will launch their own versions to promote them to the corresponding devices. Today, Google has released these new emoticons with Noto fonts so that developers can easily embed them in their projects.

Google said the new emoji will be launched on Android by the end of this year and in other Google products next year. In addition to the color version of Noto, Google has released a black-and-white version of Noto for these new emoticons. Earlier this year, Google introduced monochrome (black and white) emoticons for the first time to pay homage to emoticons on old "functional" phones.

In addition, Google will release its first set of animated emoticons that can be used openly, some of which are already available for Google's Messages app.

In addition, Google has deployed the COLRv1 standard, which allows users to change some fonts. Take the emoji of a duck as an example, users create a new version of the emoji by changing the color of different parts of the duck.

Currently, support for COLRv1 is limited to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers, while support for Firefox is coming soon. So far, users have not been able to send these mixed emoticons through the message App.

However, Google allows users to change their colors through the G-board-based "emoji kitchen". Users can add a colored heart to the current emoji to change its color, for example, mixing a red rose with a yellow heart creates a yellow rose.
