CTOnews.com learned that Apple's official website shows that iPhone 14 in South Korea starts at 1250000 won (about 6275 yuan) and iPhone 14 Plus starts at 1350000 won (about 6777 yuan). The iPhone 14 Pro starts at 1550000 won (about 7781 yuan) and the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at 1750000 won (about 8785 yuan).

The iPhone 14 series is 160000 won (about 803.2 yuan) higher than the same model of iPhone 13. The iPhone 14 Pro is 200000 won (about 1004 yuan) higher than the previous generation, while the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple's most high-end phone, is 260000 won (1305.2 yuan) higher than the previous generation. And the iPhone14 Pro Max 1TB model sells for as much as 2500000 won (about 12550 yuan).

Japanese and South Korean consumers will have to pay relatively more for the latest iPhone this year than last year's models, as both countries' currencies have depreciated sharply against the dollar.

According to Apple's website, the iPhone 14 series in Japan costs 119800 yen. The price is about 21% higher than the price of iPhone 13 released a year ago. By contrast, despite historically high inflation, the iPhone 14 still costs $799 in the US, the same as last year's model, the report said. In addition, the starting price of iPhone 14 series in China remains the same as last year, starting from 5999 yuan.
