CTOnews.com September 14 news, according to Nanning Evening News, BYD 10GWh hybrid battery and 5GWh new battery production base project started during the major project opening and completion activities of Nanning City on September 9, 2022.

The total land area of the project is about 975 mu, which is mainly used for the research and development, production and manufacture of battery cells, modules and other products. After the project reaches full production, it will achieve an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan and create about 9000 new jobs.

Data show that BYD sold 174915 new energy vehicles in August, compared with 61409 in the same period last year. BYD sold 983844 vehicles in the first eight months, up 164.03% from a year earlier.

CTOnews.com learned that BYD's total installed capacity of power batteries and energy storage batteries for new energy vehicles in August 2022 was about 7.553 G and 48.883GWh in 2022.
