CTOnews.com Sept. 14, in the recent European IFA2022 exhibition, LG officially launched the 97-inch (diagonal about 245cm) OLED TV-LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV, the model is 97G2, which is currently the world's largest OLED TV. The TV has been pre-ordered in the Korean market today and will be available on September 21.

LG said 97G2 TVs use self-luminous OLED technology to provide an immersive viewing experience in a large size. With the launch of the TV, the company's 2022 OLED TV lineup now covers all sizes of 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83, 88 and 97 inches.

LG said OLED TVs use self-illuminated pixels that can be turned on and off separately "to recreate perfect black, incredible natural colors and unlimited contrast. The backlit OLED also allows for unprecedented shapes, such as flexible and scrollable televisions."

The LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV uses a 4K (3840x2160) resolution and is equipped with a fifth-generation AI alpha 9 processor based on OLED picture and sound quality data accumulated by LG Electronics over the years. The processor can classify faces, bodies, objects, text and backgrounds in video, enhance stereo effects, and convert two-channel sources into virtual 7.1.2 stereo. Like other LG OLED televisions, the TV also supports both Dolby Horizon IQ and Dolby panoramic sound.

When hanging on the wall, the TV uses a gallery design that is completely in close contact with the wall, enhancing the luxury and immersion of the screen.

CTOnews.com learned that the 97-inch LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV sells for 3990 million won (about 200300 yuan) in South Korea.
