CTOnews.com, September 14 (Xinhua) the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer is moving towards electrification. On Monday, local time, Honda announced that it would launch "10 or more" electric motorcycles by 2025.

Honda shared a slide showing the outline of 11 electric motorcycles, all of which look like mopeds except the bottom four. Honda said most of them would not be listed in North America and would focus on Asia and Europe.

Honda is developing a new "FUN" platform and plans to launch three "large" electric motorcycles in Japan, the US and Europe between 2024 and 2025. It is also developing a children's bike based on the same powertrain and sturdy.

In addition, Honda has promised to launch more "flexible fuel" motorcycles using E20 and E100 ethanol-based fuels in 2023 and 2025 to make them more environmentally friendly.

Honda plans to make its motorcycle business carbon neutral by 2040, with electric versions accounting for about 15 per cent of its motorcycle sales by 2030, according to CTOnews.com.
