CTOnews.com, September 14 (Xinhua) Douyin and its overseas version of TikTok topped the global mobile app (non-game) download list with nearly 66 million downloads in August 2022, down 0.8 percent from August 2021, according to Sensor Tower Store intelligence data. Of these, Douyin accounted for 15% of the downloads of the TikTok market in the United States, accounting for 7.7%.

CTOnews.com learned that Facebook ranked second with nearly 5900 downloads, up 10.5 per cent from August last year. India is the market with the largest number of downloads, accounting for 26.4%, followed by Indonesia with 7.6%.

The other three apps in the top five are Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.
