Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

On the morning of September 14, Beijing time, it was reported that a federal judge in the United States ruled on Tuesday that Alphabet's Google company must face antitrust charges against its online advertising business brought by the attorney general of Texas and 16 other states or regions, with the exception of one charge.

Google has won a motion to dismiss allegations that its 2018 cooperation agreement with Facebook, a subsidiary of Meta, is illegal trade restrictions. U.S. District Judge P. Kevin Castel said there were valid business reasons for the agreement between the two companies.

But Google failed to persuade judge Castel to dismiss three other charges related to its market dominance. However, the judge found that some of the basic requirements put forward by the states were not based on facts.

A spokesman for the Texas attorney general's office and Google didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The antitrust case is one of several cases against Google and other large technology companies that could be tried in the coming years.
