According to news released by Toshiba Electronic components and Storage Devices Co., Ltd., on September 13, due to a power outage during the inspection on September 11, the operation of the Iwate plant of Japan Semiconductor Company (the main production plant of Toshiba Electronic components and Storage Devices Co., Ltd.) has been suspended.

The situation as at 16:00 on 12 September and its impact are as follows:

We are assessing the damage to WIP.

There is no major damage to the production equipment, and part of the production line has resumed operation. We expect to fully restore production levels before the power outage on September 17.

Toshiba is expected to release an update on the incident on September 14.
