CTOnews.com, September 13, 2016, Tesla's official website published "Master Plan Part Deux (part II of the Master Plan)" written by Elon Musk on July 20, 2016. Musk said in this article that it is estimated that about 10 billion kilometers of autopilot test mileage is needed before Tesla's FSD system can be approved by global regulators.

Yesterday, Musk said on Twitter that FSD Beta 10.69.2 has been released, asking car owners to be cautious when testing, especially when around pedestrians. In response to netizens' comments, Musk talked about when the FSD system will be officially launched. Twitter user @ Tesla__Mania asked Musk whether the "FSD system needs 10 billion km of test mileage to be approved by global regulators" that he mentioned in "Master Plan Part Deux" is still valid.

In response, Mr Musk said the 10 billion km test mileage "may be the right order of magnitude (That is probably the right order of magnitude)", which means he still estimates that about 10 billion km of test mileage is needed for Tesla's FSD system to be approved by global regulators.

According to the update for the second quarter of 2022 released by Tesla in July this year, the test mileage of Tesla's FSD Beta system has reached 56.327 million kilometers, and most of the test mileage has been obtained after October 2021. Considering that Tesla may open up the right to use the FSD system to all paying users of FSD projects in the United States by the end of this year, Tesla's test mileage is likely to usher in a more radical growth.

CTOnews.com learned that in early September, Tesla officially raised the price of the FSD system from $12000 to $15000 without adding any new features. It is worth mentioning that the current Tesla FSD is not actually a complete autopilot system, it still requires drivers to be vigilant and ready to take over the vehicle at any time.
