According to the current plan, the first aircraft will also be delivered to China Eastern Airlines, the first operator, by the end of the year, while China Eastern is likely to put the new aircraft into operation for the first time in the first quarter of 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that at present, the C919 has completed a five-year forensic flight test, waiting to be issued with a model certificate. According to China Business News, the C919 will collect evidence as soon as this month and plan to deliver its first aircraft to its first customer, China Eastern Airlines, this year.

Today, two large C919 domestic planes took off from Shanghai Pudong Airport and flew to Beijing Capital International Airport for the first time, arriving at 10: 51 and 11:24 respectively.

In addition, according to the announcement issued by China Eastern Airlines in May, it plans to introduce 4 C919 domestic large aircraft and 24 ARJ21 domestic regional airliners with a catalogue price of 653 million yuan. China Eastern Airlines said that the aircraft models to be introduced in this private offering include domestic C919 aircraft and ARJ21-700s, which will help the company to continue to firmly support the national strategy of domestic large aircraft and promote the development of domestic large aircraft industry clusters.

The full name of the C919 aircraft is COMAC919, which is a large jet civil aircraft developed by China in accordance with international civil aviation regulations and with independent intellectual property rights. It has a seat class of 158168 seats and a range of 4075-5555 km. The final assembly was completed on November 2, 2015, with a total of 815 orders from 28 customers, with the same performance as the new generation of international mainstream single-aisle airliners, and successfully made its maiden flight on May 5, 2017.

On May 14, 2022, the first flight test of the first C919 aircraft to be delivered to the first user of Comac was successfully completed. On July 25, six domestic large airliners C919 test aircraft successfully completed all the test flights. On August 1, Comac announced that the domestic large aircraft C919 had completed the forensic test flight.
