CTOnews.com Sept. 12, in the recent "Far Out" event, Apple released the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, equipped with "Smart Island" pill screen to display alerts and background activities, brighter display and AOD message screen display, A16 bionic chip, new color options, and so on.

Apple replaced the bangs concave screen with a "smart island" digging screen. While most customers will have to wait at least a week to better understand the new feature, one graphic designer has imagined a "smart island" design running on iPad Pro.

Graphic designer Parker Ortolani envisions how Smart Island will work on the new iPad Pro. First, Ortolani punches the "long pill" on a horizontal screen-something iPad customers have been asking for.

Since most people use iPad in landscape mode, people always look strange in video calls because the camera is located at the vertical top of the tablet screen-and even the central portrait feature won't solve the problem.

According to Apple's description of the "Smart Island" design of the iPhone 14 Pro:

Smart Island brings users a new way to interact with iPhone, blurring the boundaries between hardware and software, and real-time changes to show important reminders, notifications, and activities. With the launch of Smart Island, the original camera has been redesigned to reduce the display space occupied. Without affecting the display of the contents of the screen, Smart Island remains active, allowing users to use the control options by simply pressing a long button. Activities such as maps, music App, or timers that keep running in the background are always visible and interactive. In addition, Smart Island also applies to third-party App in iOS 16 that provide information (such as race scores and carpool information) through "real-time events". Smart Island blurs the boundaries between hardware and software and can be flexibly deployed into various shapes to clearly present important operations, such as face ID verification.

With this in mind, Parker Ortolani uses this concept to imagine what it will look like on the new iPad Pro. The designer not only made the "smart island" bigger, but imagined multiple "smart islands" on iPad, called "Island Menus". Users can "hover over the area of Smart Island to access the power of your favorite iPad application," he explained.

In addition, Smart Island can improve multitasking because it allows "applications at the top of the display" and provides shortcut menus for quick access. With Apple recently introducing general control to the iPad and Mac, and now developing "pre-stage scheduling", the new smart island digging design may be well suited to the new iPad Pro model.

When will Apple release its new iPad Pro? CTOnews.com has learned that if the rumors are true, Apple may be preparing to host an event focused on Mac and iPad in October. IPad Pro may be the protagonist of this event.

According to sources, the iPad Pro will be equipped with a brand new M2 chip. In addition, Apple is working to extend its battery life, bringing MagSafe connectors and new accessories to the tablet. Analysts believe Apple will maintain the 11-inch LCD and 12.9-inch miniLED versions of the iPad Pro.

The camouflage effect of "iOS 16" Smart Island is too good. Apple's official website photo confirms that iPhone 14 Pro / Max is equipped with "exclamation point"hole digging screen".
