CTOnews.com, September 12, local time on September 8, Ford Ford Pro announced that it will launch a new pure electric van, the E-Transit Custom, in the European market.

At present, the E-Transit sales of the first pure electric commercial van launched by Ford Pro has exceeded 8300. The E-Transit Custom is one of four pure electric commercial models that Ford Pro plans to launch in Europe in 2024.

E-Transit Custom is equipped with 400V 74 kWh battery, energy density is 12% higher than E-Transit, can achieve the target mileage of 380km, while standard heat pump air conditioning system. Users can also choose motors with a maximum output power of 100 kilowatts or 160 kilowatts, both of which provide 415 Nm peak torque.

In terms of charging, E-Transit Custom is equipped with 11 kilowatt three-phase AC vehicle charger, which can charge the vehicle within 7 to 8 hours. At the same time, it supports 125kW DC fast charging, which can charge 15% of the vehicle in 41 minutes. 5 minutes of DC fast charging can add 38 km of mileage to the vehicle.

CTOnews.com learned that Ford said the cockpit could also be transformed into a small office with a 5G Internet connection and a smart steering wheel that could be folded into ergonomic laptop and tablet brackets. In addition, there are more than 30 independent modules in the car that can be updated remotely through the Ford Power-up.

According to reports, E-Transit Custom also has a load capacity of 1.1t and is equipped with an independent rear suspension system. Ford is expected to start production of the E-Transit Custom at its plant in Kojaili, Turkey, in the autumn of 2023.
