Analyst Guo Mingyi and Bloomberg Mark Gurman shared detailed information about the next-generation iPhone product line. Guo Mingyi said recently that Apple will make major changes to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models to boost sales in mature markets.

Guo Mingyi said he believes Apple will create more differences between the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 standard models to increase the distribution of Pro shipments and the new iPhone ASP. Further, Apple will begin to create differentiation between iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro. This is a best practice for generating more sales / profits in mature markets through a precise product segmentation strategy.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman retweeted Guo Mingyi's tweet, suggesting that Apple will also change its Pro Max model naming plan. The iPhone Pro Max model will become Ultra. Apple recently launched its high-end smartwatch Apple Watch Ultra, and Apple's M-series chips use similar naming schemes: Pro, Max and Ultra. So next year we may see the iPhone 15 Ultra model instead of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to revelations, the iPhone 15 series will be equipped with a 5x periscope camera and a "smart island" digging screen with Face ID. Earlier this year, Guo predicted that Apple might eventually switch to the USB Type-C port on the iPhone 15 series instead of the Lightning port.

In addition to the iPhone 15 series upgrade, Guo Mingyi also said that the iPhone 15 series will be produced in both India and China, marking the first time that the latest iPhone series will be produced at the same time outside China.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to use TSMC 3nm chip A17 in the first batch, while iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still use A16 chip (the same chip as iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max).

Guo Mingyi: Apple iPhone 14 Pro / Max chip should use the marketing name "A16 Pro". IPhone 14 / Plus with "A16 / A15 Plus" sounds easier to sell.
