CTOnews.com, September 12 (Xinhua)-- the "League of Legends" S12 global finals held a qualifying draw after the last match between LEC and LCS, and 12 teams will start from the qualifying round.

Qualifying round:

Group A: FNC, BYG, DFM, EG, LOUD (Brazil), CHF (Australia)

Group B: DRX, RNG, SGB, MAD, IW (Turkey), ISG (Latin America)

During the qualifying stage, 12 teams will be divided into two groups, each of which will compete through the single round robin system. The third and fourth teams in the group will have a BO5 match, the winner will have an BO5 match with the second place in the other group, and the final winner will join hands with the first in the group to advance to the group stage.

If the No. 3 seed and No. 4 seed teams in the LEC Division are promoted to the group stage, the LEC4 seed team will not be bound by the rules that there shall not be teams in the same division. If one of the above two LEC teams is eliminated in the qualifying stage, the rule will remain unchanged.

Group stage:

Group A: C9 (first in North America), T1, EDG

Group B: JDG, G2, DK

Group C: RGE (New King of Europe), TES, GAM

Group D: GEN (Korea first), CFO, 100T

Group stage system:

Sixteen teams will be divided into four groups, of which 12 will be directly qualified for the group stage and the other four will qualify for the qualifying stage. The two teams with the highest ranking in each group can enter the final schedule of the competition: the knockout stage.

Knockout stage:

Eight teams will compete in the knockout stage. The knockout stage adopts the single elimination system of five games with three wins, and the 1/4 finals and semi-finals will be held in turn. The two teams that advance to the finals will have a final showdown of three out of five games. The winner will be crowned as the 2022 global finals champion.

It is worth mentioning that T1, EDG and C9 are not only in the same group as in 2017, but also the same single, Faker, Scout and Jensen.
