CTOnews.com, September 11 (Xinhua)-- Apple recently released a new series of iPhone 14 phones and announced that the official version of iOS 16 will be launched in the early hours of September 13. IOS 16 will support iPhone 8, iPhone X, or newer models. Even so, not all features apply to the old iPhone.

Here are the features that will be available for only a few iPhone with iOS 16 later this fall:

Live text in video: text can now fully interact in paused video frames, so you can use copy and paste, find, and translate functions. This feature is available for photos, Quick View, Safari, and other applications.

Quick manipulation in live text: data detected in photos and videos can be manipulated with a single click. Track flights or cargo, translate foreign languages and change currencies.

New language for live text: in iOS 16, live text can recognize Japanese, Korean, and Ukrainian texts.

Emoticons in text: preview during a WWDC22 keynote speech, you can insert emoticons when sending messages using Siri. Cantonese (Hong Kong, China), English (Australia, Canada, India, United Kingdom, United States), French (France), German (Germany), Japanese (Japan), Putonghua (Chinese mainland, Taiwan) and Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States).

Discover Siri features and applications: open the application and ask, "Hey Siri, what can I do here?" Or by saying, "Hey Siri, what can I do with iRobot?" To query a specific application. This feature supports German (Germany), English (Australia, Canada, India, United Kingdom, United States), Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), French (France), Japanese (Japan), Putonghua (Chinese mainland) and Cantonese (Hong Kong, China).

A new dictation experience: you can switch between voice and touch smoothly in iOS 16. Use keyboard typing, clicking on text fields, moving the cursor, and inserting QuickType suggestions, all without stopping dictation.

Use iPhone camera to add drugs: you can use cameras such as iPhone XR / XS in iOS 16 to quickly add drugs. Just put the drug label in the frame and you will see the results of the drug's name, strength and form.

Image search in more applications: in iOS 16, Spotlight uses image information in messages, notes, and files to support search by location, people, scenes, and even things in images (such as text, dogs, and so on).

Visual lookup improvements: elevate the theme from the image or isolate the theme by removing the background. This applies to photos, screenshots, quick viewing, Safari, etc.

A new field of visual search: increased recognition of birds, insects and statues.

Astronomical wallpaper: in iOS 16 Beta 2, Apple provides astronomical wallpaper for update users such as iPhone XR and iPhone XS. Previously, it only applied to A13 or newer compatible devices.

IOS 16 for iPhone 11 and later features real-time subtitles: transcripts are automatically generated in real time for deaf or hearing-impaired users so that they can more easily engage in conversations, audio and video. IOS 16 features unique to iPhone 13 series models

The iPhone 13 model also has the exclusive features of iOS 16. They are:

Improved quality when recording in movie mode: when recording video in movie mode on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, the depth of field effect is more accurate for the angle of the outline and around the edges of the hair and glasses.

Feature 4k movie mode unique to iPhone 14 series models: when recording video in movie mode on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, users can choose 30fps@1080p, 24fps @ 4k or 30fps@4K.

Motion mode: the new iPhone 14 series provides a new motion mode that reduces significant jitter, motion and vibration, even when shooting video during motion.

IPhone that supports iOS 16 new battery icon

Although some features require a specific iPhone due to processor capabilities, Apple has added new battery icons for some bangs in the iOS 16 Beta 5. Only a few devices will get this new feature:

These are all the features unique to the new iPhone model. As you can see, many of these are suitable for users of iPhone XR and iPhone XS or newer models, while only a few camera improvements are unique to the iPhone 13 series and the iPhone 14 series.
