CTOnews.com, September 11 (Xinhua)-- Apple recently released a new series of iPhone 14 phones and announced that the official version of iOS 16 will be launched in the early hours of September 13. IOS 16 will support iPhone 8, iPhone X, or newer models.

The main new feature of custom lock screen iOS 16 is the ability to personalize the lock screen using multiple layers of wallpaper, widgets, custom fonts for date and time, and so on. Users can also choose a group of photos to be played randomly on the locked screen throughout the day.

The new lock screen gallery displays a range of lock screen options, including new weather wallpapers with real-time weather conditions and astronomical wallpapers that provide views of the earth, moon and solar system. IOS 16 includes support for a variety of lock screen designs, allowing users to swipe between favorites.

Editing or canceling sending iMessageiOS 16 introduces the ability to temporarily edit or cancel sending iMessage, as well as the ability to mark it as unread after opening an iMessage conversation.

Apple allows users to edit iMessage within up to 15 minutes of sending it, and up to five edits per message. The recipient can see the editing record of the message, and on a device running iOS 15 or earlier, the edited message is received as a new message with the words "edited as [new message]" on it.

To edit or cancel sending a message, simply click and hold the bubble and select the appropriate option in the menu that appears. The edited iMessage is marked "edited" below the message bubble. On devices running iOS 15 or earlier, the edited message is received as a new message with the message "edited to [X]".

Using the full-screen music player iOS 16, the full-screen music player was reintroduced on the locked screen, with a large album cover and color-matching wallpaper.

The last time Apple offered a full-screen music player on the lock screen of the 2016 iOS 10. If users don't like this feature, they can click on the bottom of the display to minimize the music player and return to the standard locked screen wallpaper.

Apple Pay on tracking Apple Pay orders iOS 16 provides new built-in order tracking information for online orders fulfilled through Apple Pay in the e-wallet application. The tracker provides the expected delivery date of the order and indicates when the package will be delivered.

During the iPhone 14 event, Apple announced that its Fitness+ service will be available to iPhone users without Apple Watch in 21 countries that offer the service later this year. Fitness+ subscriptions are priced at $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year.
