CTOnews.com September 11 news, yesterday, Omdia released a report that in July 2022, total TFT LCD panel shipments fell 12% month-on-month, down 7% from a year earlier to only 200 million pieces.

Shipments of large-size display panels fell 10% month-on-month in July 2022, to 6770 million pieces, the report said. "this figure is another record low compared with May's record low of 72.1 million pieces in the past two years."

Shipments of laptop panels, LCD monitors and TV panels have all hit two-year lows, CTOnews.com has learned, but as a result, shipments are likely to fluctuate and recover in the coming months.

In addition, the report said that after the low crop movement rate caused by high temperatures and power cuts in August, panel manufacturers continued to maintain a low crop rate in September, and even some manufacturers further reduced the crop rate to control output; although demand is still weak, however, panel prices are expected to stabilize and rebound in the coming months due to a sharp decline in output and a recent decline in panel manufacturer stock under the control of recent low output.

In terms of laptop panels, shipments of laptop panels fell 12% month-on-month in July 2022, down 36% from a year earlier to 1580, also a two-year low. Among them, BOE's shipments accounted for 35.8% of the total in July 2022.

Shipments by use for July 2022 are as follows:

Shipments of 9-inch and above tablet display panels fell 13% month-on-month, but remained unchanged year-on-year

Shipments of laptop display panels fell 12% month-on-month, down 36% from a year earlier.

Shipments of display panels fell 17% month-on-month and 16% year-on-year.

Shipments of TV panels fell 8% month-on-month and 5% year-on-year.
