On September 7, China Mobile Research Institute established CFITI (CFN Innovative Test Infrastructure) New Intelligent Computing Open Laboratory, and Huawei entered as the first member. Huang Yuhong, president of China Mobile Research Institute, Deng Taihua, president of Huawei computing product line, and other leaders unveiled the laboratory. Gao Tongqing, deputy general manager of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., and Wang Tao, managing director of Huawei, jointly witnessed the unveiling. Wang Xiaoyun, general manager of the technology department of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., Xu Haiyong, general manager of China Mobile Information Technology Center (company), and Duan Xiaodong, vice president of China Mobile Research Institute, attended the meeting.

At present, computing power has become the core driving force for the development of digital economy. In order to support the mathematical intelligence transformation of the whole society, China Mobile put forward a new concept of network forced computing and vigorously developing computing network in November 2021, aiming to build a new information infrastructure with computing as the center and network as the foundation, with deep integration of network, cloud, digital, intelligence, security, edge, end, chain (ABCDNETS) and other deep integration, providing integrated services. In order to accelerate the development of computing network innovation, China Mobile officially launched the computing network innovation demonstration network-CFITI at the end of July 2022. With the goal of promoting the construction of a large scientific device of the national computing network, CFITI anchors the four major positioning of the new technology experimental bed, the national demonstration base, the industrial aggregation platform and the new business type incubator to form the double-plane layout of AB and the node planning of "1-9-9", and carry out new technology and new business verification of the three main lines of computing network infrastructure, integration of business innovation and cutting-edge original technology.

With the rapid growth of the scale of unstructured data such as image, video and voice, the demand for intelligent computing power is increasing exponentially, the rhythm of the mature landing of AI technology is accelerated, and the computing infrastructure centered on intelligent computing is developing rapidly. Intelligent computing has become the trend of the times, and intelligent computing has also become the core component of the computing network. In recent years, a number of domestic AI chip manufacturers have emerged in China, and more than 20 cities across the country have built or are planning to build intelligent computing centers. However, the development of Intelligent Computing Center is still faced with some problems, such as the disunity of technical standard system, the lead of AI technology stack by foreign countries, the improvement of domestic product performance, and the ecological shaft development of domestic AI industry. In order to solve the above problems, China Mobile Research Institute took the lead in setting up a new CFITI Intelligent Computing Open Laboratory relying on the Computational Network Innovation demonstration Network, which aims to systematically promote domestic AI technology and ecological maturity through technical standards, evaluation, ecological unity, platform empowerment and other ways.

As a domestic company with full-stack AI products, Huawei has a deep accumulation in hardware, operators, models and frameworks. In order to solve the pain points of domestic AI applications, strengthen the ability of computing network intelligence, and promote the ecological prosperity of domestic intelligent computing industry, Huawei, as the first member of the new intelligent computing open laboratory stationed in CFITI, will work with China Mobile to promote technological and ecological maturity in the field of intelligent computing.
