CTOnews.com September 11 news, TrendForce Jibang Consulting latest report shows that due to the impact of active inventory reduction by channels and brands, notebook panel orders are facing substantial downrevision. Shipments of notebook panels are expected to decrease by 13.4% month-on-month in the third quarter, or about 4510 million pieces.

CTOnews.com learned that, specifically, pens shipped 1560 million pieces in July, down 34.8% from a year earlier, while display panels shipped 1170 million pieces in July, down 16.3% from a year earlier.

The report points out that under the active destocking of brands, display panel shipments will decline sharply in the third quarter, and shipments are expected to fall to 3130 million pieces, a decrease of 27.7% from the previous quarter.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, TrendForce Jibang Consulting estimates that shipments of pen panels in the fourth quarter were about 4080, down 45.6 per cent from a year earlier and 9.4 per cent from a month earlier, while display panels were about 2900, down 40.4 per cent from a year earlier and 7.2 per cent from a year earlier.
