CTOnews.com Sept. 11, Microsoft Surface Go 3 recently ushered in the September 2022 firmware update, which is separate from the Windows system update.

In the firmware update notes for version 3.1.1.12, Microsoft mentioned a mysterious new feature:

This update enables support for new system configurations.

CTOnews.com has learned that this update applies to Surface Go 3 devices running Windows 10, October 10, 2020 newer version of 20H2 or later.

Users of Surface Go 3 can find and download new firmware in the Windows update set up by the system, or click here to download the new firmware manually to install it.

The Surface Go 3 is light to 544g and features a 1080p camera, matrix far-field dual microphones, Dolby sound effects and a 10.5inch 1920 x 1280 resolution touch screen. Surface Go 3 processors are available with Intel Pentium 6500Y or Intel Core i3-10100Y processors. The product offers optional LTE enhancements, long battery life, built-in Microsoft security protection, versatility from tablets to laptops, and is optimized for stylus and touch screens.

Microsoft's annual Ignite conference will be held offline from October 12 to 14, and it is reported that Microsoft will bring new products for the 10th anniversary of Surface, which we can look forward to.
