CTOnews.com, Sept. 10, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily, Quanta, the leading contract manufacturer of notebooks, released the latest revenue figures this week. In August 2022, Quanta's revenue was 131.86 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 29.668 billion yuan), an increase of 1.9% month-on-month and 55.7% year-on-year, another monthly high.

In the first eight months of this year, Quanta's revenue was T $833.577 billion, up 17.6 per cent from a year earlier. Pens shipped 5 million units in August, down 300000 from 5.3 million in July.

CTOnews.com learned that Quanta said that laptop shipments declined in August compared with July, but revenue bucked the trend, mainly due to Apple's launch of a new MacBook, which increased the unit price of product shipments. in addition, many orders were blocked in the second quarter, delayed to the third quarter, and server demand was still good, helping to boost August revenue.

Quanta pointed out that shipments of notebooks in July and August were more than 5 million units, higher than the normal level, because orders were delayed. Now that the personal computer (PC) economy is declining, shipments can be shipped as soon as possible. Laptop shipments in the third quarter will increase by more than 20% compared with the second quarter, and shipments are expected to decline in the fourth quarter.
