CTOnews.com, September 10 (Xinhua)-- according to financial data released by Pegatron, one of the major contract manufacturers of Apple's iPhone 14 series, Pegatron achieved revenue of 116.03 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 26.107 billion yuan) in August 2022, an increase of 36% year-on-year and 7.5% month-on-month, setting a record high for the same period on record.

CTOnews.com learned that Pegatron's cumulative revenue in the first eight months of this year was NT $831.489 billion (about RMB 187.085 billion), up 25.5 per cent from a year earlier.

According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, most of Hutchison's non-PC business revenue is assembled by iPhone, and Apple will pull a large number of old iPhone models one month before the launch of new phones over the years. From Pegatron's point of view, part of the increase in August revenue should be related to large shipments of iPhone 13.

In terms of products, Pegatron shipped 610000 notebook computers in August this year, down from 70-750000 in July, while desktops and motherboards shipped 460000 units per piece, a decrease of 40, 000 units compared with the previous month.

Pegatron pointed out that non-PC business continued to grow quarter-on-quarter. On the whole, it is still optimistic that the third quarter is the traditional peak season, and the three major product lines are expected to achieve quarter-on-quarter growth.

In addition, the legal person expects Pegatron to focus on the 6.7inch iPhone 14 Plus assembly business this year, the new machine assembly order is expected to increase Hesco's capacity utilization, and the gross profit margin and operating profit ratio are expected to improve significantly in the second half of the year compared with the first half of the year. Pegatron's third-quarter revenue is expected to grow nearly 20 per cent month-on-month and 5 per cent year-on-year, led by iPhone 14 Plus.
