CTOnews.com September 9 news, yesterday, Stellantis Group's SUV brand-Jeep announced a comprehensive plan for the next generation of pure electric 4xe models.

Based on the plug-in hybrid model Jeep "Wrangler 4xe" and the recently launched "Grand Cherokee 4xe", the Jeep brand is developing a comprehensive and complete electrification product lineup. The Jeep brand will launch four all-electric SUV models in North America and Europe by the end of 2025.

In addition, the Jeep brand also released official pictures of two pure electric SUV models, "New Jeep Recon" and "New Jeep Wagoneer" (code name Wagoneer S), to the world. The two new models will be launched in North America and other markets around the world.

CTOnews.com learned that the Jeep brand has also confirmed that the new all-electric model "Avenger" will make its debut at the Paris International Auto Show on October 17 this year and will be available in Europe in early 2023.

The plan comes a few weeks after Dodge, the performance car brand of the Stellantis Group, also released the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept model. The Ram brand of the Stellantis Group will share the latest information on the "Ram Revolution" electrified model planning in November 2022.

At present, the Chrysler brand of the Stellantis Group has announced that it will launch its first all-electric model in 2025 and will provide Chrysler all-electric model series within 2028. The Chrysler hybrid Pacifica Hybrid is the first and only plug-in hybrid in its market segment.

Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis Group, said that by the end of 2024, the group will launch 28 new pure electric models.

In July 2021, the Stellantis Group announced its electrification strategy that it plans to invest more than 30 billion euros (about 208.5 billion yuan) in electrification and software development between 2021 and 2025.

All Stellantis Group brands are committed to achieving the following goal: by the end of 2030, all passenger cars sold by the group in Europe will be pure electric vehicles, and 50 per cent of passenger cars and light trucks sold in the US will be pure electric vehicles. By 2030, the group will have more than 75 pure electric models, with annual sales of 5 million pure electric vehicles worldwide.
