Tencent Robotics X Robotics Lab said that for the first time, technicians applied touch sensors to wheel-legged robots, giving Ollie keen "tactile interaction" after upgrading. With these new technologies, Ollie can respond to touch movements and challenge difficult moves such as "dribbling breakthrough."

With the addition of new tactile sensors, Ollie can sense contact information from the outside world, including perception and recognition of touch mode, touch strength, touch orientation, touch trajectory shape, and respond in different ways. The sensor was jointly developed by Tencent Robotics X Laboratory and Tsinghua University. The research results have been received by ACS NANO, the top international journal in the field of nanotechnology.

In addition, the latest Ollie also shows a two-wheel step movement, adding the ability to step and move simultaneously compared to last year's "step in place" movement, with longer duration, smoother movement and more stable overall performance.
