CTOnews.com Sept. 9, Fuji today released the X-H2 non-reflective camera, which uses a 4020-megapixel APS-C sensor, which is the highest resolution of all X-series cameras. This camera is also the world's first APS-C camera capable of internal recording in 8K 30p Apple ProRes format.

Fuji said the 4020-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor combined with a unique image processing algorithm produces a higher image resolution without affecting the signal-to-noise ratio. The basic ISO of the new sensor is as low as 125. coupled with the fastest shutter speed on the X-series cameras, the electronic shutter is increased from 32,000 seconds in the previous model to 180000 seconds in the previous model.

The X-H2 is also the first X-series camera with Pixel shift multiple shooting Mode (Pixel Shift Multi-Shot) function. It uses the camera's body image stabilization (IBIS) system to accurately shift the sensor 20 times and supports 1.6 megapixel multi-frame synthesis of high pixel mode.

Fuji X-H2 also supports HEIF format, which is 30% smaller than JPEG and has 10-bit image quality.

Fuji said the new sensor inherited from X-H2S 's improved cooling system and processor, allowing X-H2 to record 8K video in 4:2:2 10-bit color, up to 30p, up to 30 minutes (bit rate is 100MBps).

Fuji X-H2 can also shoot 4K video oversampled from 8K resolution and record it in three Apple ProRes formats: ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT. You can also record with ProRes 422 Proxy, which may be particularly useful for 8K editing workflows, given the file size.

Fuji said that due to the use of the X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, the X-H2 can shoot at 2x digital zoom when shooting at 4K with almost no resolution loss.

When combined with compatible HDMI recording devices, X-H2 can output 12-bit 8Kp30 RAW video and record it in Apple ProRes or Blackmagic RAW format. In addition, Fuji's newly developed F-Log2 flat profile expands the camera's video dynamic range to more than 13 files.

Although X-H2 's sensors are not stacked like X-H2S, Fuji says its deep learning-based subject detection autofocus (AF) can accurately detect and track a wide range of topics, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes and trains.

Fuji says the new sensor has the "best" ability to autofocus the subject and can operate accurately when autofocus is usually used (such as in landscapes or portraits). The camera also has an autofocus prediction algorithm, which the company says is an improvement over previous X-series models. The autofocus algorithm has been optimized for video, including when shooting at 8K.

As mentioned earlier, the X-H2 has a 5-axis fuselage image stabilization (IBIS) system, and Fuji Film indicates that it can be used handheld in cases where support was previously required. The electronic viewfinder is a high-definition 5.76 million-point viewfinder with a magnification of 0.8 times and a refresh rate of up to 120 frames per second. The back screen is a 3-inch variable-angle touchscreen with 1.62 million points and an aspect ratio of 3:2.

Fuji X-H2 fuselage itself has 79 waterproof and dustproof sealing points, with a "high level" of dust and moisture-proof ability, can be used at temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius. There is one CFexpress B card slot and one UHS-II SD card slot. The company says it needs a CFexpress card to achieve the highest performance the camera can achieve.

CTOnews.com learned that the Fuji X-H2 camera is expected to go on sale in late September, with only the fuselage priced at $1999.95 (about 13899.65 yuan) and a package bundled with the XF 16-80mm f / 4 R OIS for $2499.95 (about 17374.65 yuan).
