CTOnews.com9: on August 9, 2018, Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy Note 9 phone, which runs on Android 8.1. In 2019, the phone received a major version update of Android 9. In 2020, the phone received an Android 10-based One UI 2.5 update. After that, the machine gets a quarterly security update.

Yesterday, Samsung released its September security update and listed the devices supported by the update. While adding Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 folding screen new phones, Galaxy Note 9 has been deleted, which means that the phone has ended its official support and will no longer receive security updates every quarter.

At the same time, Samsung downgraded the Galaxy Note 10 series of phones from monthly updates to quarterly updates. The series of phones was launched in August 2019 and runs on Android 9. In 2020, the Galaxy Note 10 series phones received an Android 10 update; earlier this year, the Note 10 series phones received an Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update. However, the Note 10 series phones will not be updated with Android 13.

CTOnews.com learned that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a 6.4inch 2K resolution SuperAMOLED screen, supports IP68 waterproof, and the rear 12MP dual camera supports optical anti-shake. As a Samsung Note series model, the machine supports S Pen stylus and can turn on the floating window function.
