CTOnews.com learned that at 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, causing heavy casualties and property losses. As of 21:00 on September 6,74 people had been killed by the 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Luding, Sichuan Province, including 40 in Ganzi Prefecture and 34 in Ya 'an city.
