CTOnews.com has learned that although the prospect of the Qhammer V band is very broad, it also has its limitations, such as being vulnerable to propagation environments such as rain attenuation, as well as the basic problems of millimeter wave band satellite communications.
According to reports, this set of Qramp V-band satellite-to-ground communication test system is based on the Qmax V-band payload of Shishi 20 satellite developed by the Fifth Aerospace Institute, a Qhand V-band ground station, an automatic weather station, and an automatic data acquisition and storage system, and supports the actual measurement of Qmax V-band satellite-to-ground channels in different meteorological environments and the verification of the effectiveness of anti-fading technology.

Officials said that the research team used this system to complete the data acquisition and measurement of the propagation characteristics of the satellite-to-ground channel in the Qhand V-band for the first time in China, and collected more than 1400 hours of data of the satellite-to-ground channel in the Qmax V band.
