CTOnews.com learned that 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province (29.59N, 102.08 E) with a focal depth of 16km. As of 21:00 on Sept. 6, the Luding earthquake in Sichuan Province had killed 74 people, including 40 in Ganzi Prefecture and 34 in Ya'an City.

Prior to this, Xiaomi, Ningde era, Alibaba, NetEase, byte beat, Lenovo, Xinxuan Group, BYD, pinduoduo and ideal Automobile all announced donations to the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan.
