This picture is also the latest picture of the universe taken by the Weber Space Telescope. The telescope was launched on Christmas Day in 2021 and took the first picture in July this year. In this recent photo of the Tarantula Nebula, there is also a perfectly shaped "Einstein ring" (Einstein ring is a phenomenon that changes the shape of the observed light source into a ring because the light emitted by the light source is affected by the gravitational lens effect).

Located in the large Magellanic Nebula, 16.1 million light-years from Earth, the Tarantula Nebula has the brightest star-forming region in the nearest galaxy, and our Milky way system is called the Local Galaxy Group. Astronomers who study star formation are particularly interested in the Tarantula Nebula. The chemical composition of the nebula is very similar to the star-forming region of the universe when it is only a few billion years old, so studying this nebula can provide scientists with unique insights into how stars formed in the early days of the universe.
