01 Ye Jieping, the new head of urban brain: Ye Jieping, an internationally renowned scholar in the field of machine learning and data analysis, is a professor at the University of Michigan and an outstanding scientist at IEEE Fellow and ACM.

In 1993, Ye Jieping was admitted to the Mathematics Department of Fudan University. after earning a master's degree from the National University of Singapore in 1999, he went to the University of Minnesota to study for his doctorate. In 2015, Ye Jieping was hired as a tenured professor by the University of Michigan. During the summer of the same year, he left academia to join Didi after a technical exchange with Didi when he returned to visit his relatives.

On April 13, 2016, Didi Research Institute was officially established, with he Xiaofei as founding president and Ye Jieping and Gong Fengmin (now vice president of Didi Chuxing information security strategy) as vice presidents.
