CTOnews.com9 news on June 6, today, Geely Automobile Holdings Co., Ltd. announced its August sales, its total August sales of 122635 vehicles, an increase of about 39% over the same period last year.

In terms of new energy vehicles, Geely sold 28030 pure electric (BEVs) vehicles in August, up 429% from a year earlier; plug-in hybrid (PHEVs) models sold 9470 in August, up 361% from a year earlier; and gas-electric hybrid (HEVs) models sold 4539 in August, compared with 1 in the same period last year, an increase of 453,800%.

By the end of August this year, Geely Automobile had sold a total of 136015 pure electric vehicles, up 465 percent from 24084 last year, and 43223 plug-in hybrid models, compared with 12356 last year, an increase of 250 percent over the same period last year. A total of 18198 gas-electric hybrid models were sold, an increase of 1819,700 percent over the same period last year.

In June this year, Geely Holdings Group announced the goal of achieving full-link carbon neutralization by 2045, and formulated the development path of diversified new energy technologies, including methanol vehicles and pure electric vehicles, Raytheon hybrid, recharging and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Geely released its results for the first half of 2022 on August 18. According to the financial report, Geely sold a total of 614000 vehicles in the first half of the year, of which the new energy sector accounted for an increase of 14.4 percent to 17.9 percent.
