The RTX 4080 16GB will be based on the AD103GPU, while the RTX 4080 12GB will likely be based on the smaller AD104 GPU. The RTX 4080 's reference design for 12GB GDDR6X memory will use a 10-layer PCB, while the 16GB memory model will use a 12-layer PCB, and the two models will use completely different PCB schemes.
Based on previous revelations, RTX 4080 is expected to be equipped with AD103 GPU, 9728 CUDA cores and 340W TBP power consumption.
