CTOnews.com reported on September 6 that an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province on September 5, with a focal depth of 16 km. The earthquake is obvious in many places.

On September 6, the Beijing Byte beat Public Welfare Foundation launched a special project for emergency relief, together with the one Foundation and the Aixiaoya Foundation, to donate 1800 emergency supplies to the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan. It contains 300 family boxes (blankets, towels, toothbrushes and flashlights, etc.) and 1500 emergency kits (emergency supplies for women).

All the injured were sent to hospital for treatment, including 5 in critical condition, 12 seriously injured and 61 slightly injured. So far, 65 people have been killed in the earthquake.
