BYD's August sales report showed that 174915 new energy vehicles were sold in August, compared with 61409 in the same period last year. BYD sold 983844 vehicles in the first eight months, up 164.03% from the same period last year. BYD is expected to become the first car company in the world to sell 1 million new energy vehicles a year this month.

In terms of financial results, BYD announced that in the first half of 2022, its revenue of 150.607 billion yuan increased by 65.71% over the same period last year, gross profit of 20.341 billion, up 75.35%, and net profit of 3.595 billion, an increase of 206.35% over the same period last year.

Not only that, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu also revealed in a recent conference call that BYD is currently ordering 700000 units, and that the delivery period for new car orders is 4-5 months, and will strive for 280000 monthly delivery by the end of the year. In terms of market development expectations, Wang Chuanfu believes that China's entire market for new energy sales in 2023 is expected to be 90-10 million vehicles, while BYD's vehicle plan is to start with 4 million units, with batteries and motor electronically controlled semiconductors synchronized or even more.
