Specifically, the scale of relevant industries strives to reach RMB 500 billion yuan. Vehicles with combined driving assistance function (L2) and conditional automatic driving function (L3) account for more than 70% of new vehicle production, and vehicles with high automatic driving function (L4 and above) realize commercial application in limited areas and specific scenarios.

The plan points out that Shanghai City should promote the construction of autonomous driving demonstration zones. Support port to carry out full-range and full-scene automatic driving test and demonstration application, explore the establishment of intelligent network-connected automobile product access system, and promote the production, sales and registration of conditional automatic driving vehicles in the automatic driving demonstration area. Encourage fully validated highly autonomous vehicles to drive in specific areas and on specific road sections and explore commercial operations.

CTOnews.com learned that the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee said in July this year that China has completed the construction of the first phase of intelligent networked automobile standard system, and by 2030, China will add more than 100 intelligent networked automobile standards. At present, China has initially established an intelligent networked vehicle standard system capable of supporting driving assistance and low-level automatic driving.
