CTOnews.com9 news on March 6, with the continuous development of electric vehicles, many traditional car companies are turning to electrification. Among them, Porsche launched a pure electric Taycan in 2019. According to Porsche CEO Oliver Blume, Porsche delivered more than 300000 vehicles worldwide in 2021, of which 41296 were pure electric Taycan, which even outsold the fuel version of Porsche 911.

Porsche delivered 18900 pure electric versions of the Taycan in the first half of this year, continuing its own electrification process, electrek reported today. In order to promote electrification, Porsche will launch more electric models. Porsche plans to launch an all-electric Panamera and a second-generation all-electric Taycan, both of which will be built on the Volkswagen SSP Sport platform, according to Autocar UK.

The Volkswagen SSP Sport platform, developed by Porsche, has a low floor and helps reduce the center of gravity of the vehicle. At present, the pure electric Palamera is still in the early stages of development, but the wheelbase of the car is expected to be the same as the Chinese version of Paramela, which means that the pure electric Palamera will compete with Mercedes-Benz AMG EQS, Lucid Air and other models. As a reference, the wheelbase of the domestic version of Palamera is 3100mm and the length of the car is 5199mm.

CTOnews.com learned that Porsche CFO Lutz Meschke said in July that the profit margin of Porsche electric vehicles would reach the level of fuel vehicles in the next two years. At the same time, Porsche plans to achieve 50% of its sales of electric cars by 2025 and 80% of its sales by 2030.
