Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the company has recently officially raised the price of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (FSD) package to $15,000 (about 103,900 yuan).
According to foreign media reports, there is a view that this FSD system is currently not worth $15,000. Other than the $3000 increase in the original price, there are no new features added to the system; the enhanced version of Autopilot, although $9000 more, only gives users the opportunity to experience the latest beta version of FSD.
For years, Musk has said that as FSD continues to improve, it will eventually allow cars to fully drive themselves. Tesla will also gradually increase the price of the system.
So far, FSD has been far from genuine. Although two years of testing have already taken place, there is still a long way to go before cars can fully drive themselves.
Technically, the FSD system can operate in most traffic environments, including crossing intersections, but the responsibility for driving remains with the driver, who still needs to be attentive and ready to take over control. Industry insiders believe that the most important step for companies developing autonomous driving systems to achieve this goal is to be willing to take responsibility for driving under system activation.
Tesla has made it clear that he cannot do this yet. The company sent a series of warnings to users participating in FSD Beta testing, making it clear that responsibility for driving remains with the driver.
Tesla believes that each update to the FSD system represents a step closer to the goal of fully autonomous driving, and believes that some of these updates deserve to increase the overall price of the system.
Musk also said last month that Tesla would raise the price of the system from $12,000 to $15,000 as the company rolled out a beta version of FSD Beta 10.69 on a larger scale.
On Monday, Tesla updated the FSD's price information on the vehicle customization page of its website-raising it by $3000-but did not include more new features. The page description has more words such as "coming online" and "automatic steering on city roads," which is still in the testing stage open to invited users, not much different from previous routine updates.

If you already own Tesla's Autopilot Plus, paying $9000 doesn't add anything new to your experience other than a chance to experience the latest beta version of FSD, and the beta experience itself isn't a reward.
Musk has made it clear that fully autonomous systems are worth well over $15,000. He said prices would continue to rise. In fact, the original FSD system cost only $6000, and now the extra $9000 is not what users really want, but a bet that Tesla will provide true autonomous driving in the future and can start at a lower price.
But it's unclear how Tesla got the beta version of FSD to evolve into a safe autonomous driving system willing to take responsibility.
