Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Apple will hold this year's autumn launch at 1:00 Beijing time on Sept. 8. In addition to iPhone 14, a big wave of new products will be unveiled this year. Judging from the news we have received so far, there will be at least three more Apple Watch models, as well as a brand new AirPods Pro true wireless headset.

Similar to the Global developer Conference (WWDC) in June, Apple will hold a small offline launch at its Apple Park headquarters campus and broadcast it live around the world over the Internet, and here are some of the new products we may see at this year's Apple hardware feast.

IPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max get major upgrades Apple will unveil a new iPhone 14 at this September event, but the standard version is unlikely to be the star of the year. The ones that are really expected to get a big upgrade are iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are expected to usher in three new features: a customizable message screen display (which Android phones did for years); a 4800-megapixel rear camera with a larger sensor; and a smaller camera opening instead of bangs.

Speaking of openings, it has been reported that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will reserve two separate openings for the camera and speakers, but when the screen lights up, they will form a long pill shape. However, according to sources, Apple will highlight the privacy indicators of the camera and microphone in the extra space between the two holes, and users can click here to learn about the current access information for the two hardware. There are also reports that Apple may optimize the camera app for the Pro, moving the flash and autofocus buttons to the top of the screen, while other features are located directly below the hole.

The phone will also be upgraded to an A16 processor and is likely to release two new colors: blue and dark purple. There are also rumors that the two devices will support a 30-watt charger (but the phone itself may still not have a USB-C interface) and upgrade the minimum memory from the previous 128GB to 256GB. In addition, Pro models are likely to have thinner frames and larger batteries. However, it is precisely because of the integration of so many new features that Apple is likely to raise the price of the high-end iPhone.

There don't seem to be many major adjustments to the standard iPhone. Perhaps the biggest change for non-Pro models is the iPhone 14 Max with a 6.7-inch screen. However, judging from the packaging from the Apple factory, Apple may not let the standard version of iPhone use the suffix Max, but will use the suffix Plus--. The last time Apple used this suffix was iPhone 8 Plus.

Name aside, information received by famous Apple analyst Guo Mingyi suggests that iPhone 14 (as well as Pro and Pro Max) may upgrade its selfie camera with autofocus. The standard version of iPhone 14 may also use the same A15 processor as the iPhone 13 series of phones. But Apple may not release the mini model this year, which will undoubtedly disappoint small-screen phone enthusiasts.

Other rumors include that iPhone may have built-in satellite modules to help users communicate off the cellular network in an emergency. Rumors of satellite modules were rife before the launch of iPhone 13 last year, and in February this year, satellite company Globalstar bought 17 new satellites to "provide continuous satellite services to potential customers"-a "potential customer" that industry insiders suspect is Apple. The name of Apple's "Far Out" event this year also suggests this possibility.

The new Apple Watch:Series 8, SE and Pro Apple is preparing to launch three new Apple Watch models: the Watch Series 8, the new SE and the rugged Pro for fans of extreme sports.

Let's start with Series 8. It is reported that the new generation of Apple Watch will use the new S8 chip, but the performance will not be much better than S7 and S6 chip. Apple may not have a sphygmomanometer built into the product, but it is possible to have a temperature sensor to find out if the user has a fever and will have a built-in cycle tracking function.

At the same time, the new Apple Watch SE is expected to replace the low-cost Watch Series 3. This product will also use the S8 chip, which is an upgrade from the S5 chip of the 2020 SE model. In addition, I'm afraid there won't be much change in this product, and the screen will be consistent with the current SE.

As for the Apple Watch Pro, it is reported that it will be equipped with a "nearly 2-inch screen" and will be highly resistant to impact. The product will also use a "hard metal shell" instead of the previously rumored rubber frame. It has been reported that the Pro model may have a flat-edged display with a larger 47mm frame, which is larger than the 41mm and 45mm frames of the previous Apple Watch Series 7. In addition, this new product may not fit the old Watch strap.

Although the first generation of Pro products may not have built-in satellite modules, future models may add this feature. There are reports that the plan is being communicated within Apple. Even without satellite capabilities, the watch won't be cheap-industry insiders expect it to be between $900 and $999.

The next generation of AirPods Pro has not been upgraded since its launch in 2019. Now, nearly three years later, Apple is finally expected to launch AirPods Pro 2 at this year's Far Out launch.

First of all, the appearance of this product may be adjusted. The new AirPods Pro may be very similar to the Beats Fit Pro, with an in-ear wingtip design that removes the headphone handle completely. Because of the built-in motion sensor, the product is likely to focus on motion tracking.

Guo Mingyi also revealed that AirPods Pro will also support lossless audio, which is very attractive to users who value sound quality. In addition, AirPods Pro 2's first product will use Apple's lossless audio decoder (ALAC)-- a feature that even the high-end AirPods Max doesn't support. In order to ensure the transmission quality, current Bluetooth headsets usually compress the sound quality. If AirPods Pro 2 really supports ALAC, it is worth looking forward to how Apple can successfully break through the limitations of Bluetooth headsets.

But there are several media reports that Apple may adopt a different approach. The company may instead increase support for Bluetooth 5.2, which uses new decoders to improve audio transmission efficiency, thereby improving sound quality or reducing power consumption. Recent updates to the Bluetooth SIG product database suggest that Apple may use this technology in the AirPods Pro, and this technology is also mentioned in the code of iOS 16.

The charging box for AirPods Pro 2 may also be upgraded. It may have a small speaker built in so that the user can make a sound when using the "Find My" app to find the charging box. At present, only the AirPods itself can make sound, and if this function can be supported on the charging box, it can indeed provide convenience when the headset is separated from the charging box.

Announcing the release time of iOS 16 and WatchOS 9 We first heard about iOS 16 when Apple released the relevant information in June, and industry insiders said that Apple finished development last week, and the company may officially launch the final version of iOS 16 within a week after the iPhone 14 launch.

IOS 16 will introduce a number of new features, including editing and withdrawing messages and customizing the lock screen interface. In addition, notifications can be transferred to the bottom of the lock screen interface, adding Live Activities lock screen plug-ins to provide real-time event updates, such as sports scores and takeout progress.

In addition, the percentage of batteries is finally coming back, but it may not be the kind of return that many people think. Fortunately, Apple may have found a way to compress the percentage indicator into the status bar of the iPhone 14 Pro, but abandoned the previous mode of displaying numbers side by side with icons.

In addition to iOS 16, Apple will release watchOS 9 along with three new Apple Watch models. The watchOS 9 beta version has been available for several months, and the system may introduce some upgrades for Apple Watch, including new running indicators, medication reminders, sleep tracking, passive atrial fibrillation monitoring and new dial customization.

Is that all? Now, it seems, this is probably the whole content of this year's Apple launch. Fortunately, another wave of new products can be ushered in in a few days. Apple is likely to return to its pre-epidemic model, with iPhone launches in September and separate iPad and Mac launches in October.

At that time, it is expected to usher in the iPad Pro with M2 chip and the entry-level iPad with A14 chip. There are rumors that Apple will also launch three new Mac models, including the Mac mini, Mac Pro and MacBook Pro, all of which will be equipped with M2 chips. IPadOS and macOS Ventura will probably be launched at about the same time.

In addition, the long-rumored Apple hybrid reality is also highly anticipated, but they are unlikely to be released this year. However, Apple has made some progress. Recent trademark filings show that the company will use the brand name of Reality for the new head display. There are reports that Apple's board of directors tried the product earlier this year. Guo Mingyi expects the device to be released in January 2023.

Remember the iPhone subscription lease earlier this year? Judging from the current news, the service may be launched by the end of the year, when users can choose to "rent" iPhone or iPad by paying a monthly fee.
