Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! According to news in the morning of September 6, Beijing time, LG Electronics said on Monday that it had released an irreplaceable NFT platform LG Art Lab, which allows users to trade NFT on LG's smart TV.
About eight months ago, LG Electronics said at a news conference that it planned to integrate NFT functions into smart TVs. Currently, the platform is only available in the United States for LG TVs running webOS 5.0 or later, and can be accessed directly from the home screen.
LG Electronics has partnered with Hedera Networks to launch an application that allows users to buy NFT through Wallypto, an encrypted wallet on LG smartphones.
"We have been developing a Wallypto based on Hedera since September 2021," said Chris Jo, senior vice president and head of platform business at LG Electronic Home Entertainment. "A beta version of the wallet was launched in August this year."
The partnership between LG Electronics and Hedera began in 2020, when LG Electronics joined the Hedera councils of Google, IBM, Deutsche Telekom and the Indian Institute of Technology.
"while many people have heard of NFT and want to participate in a growing ecosystem, it may be too complex to get started," Jo said. "LG Art Lab is designed to make it easy for millions of users in the United States to access and display NFT without having to interact with code or directly with blockchains."
The NFT platform provides a Drops feature that provides information about artists and displays previews of their new works. Its real-time Live drop feature provides notifications to help users get discarded NFT and make sure they don't miss any opportunities.
Jo also said that Hedera allows users to pay less than $0.0001 per transaction (no high fees or hidden costs), which means there are no hidden costs associated with the NFT platform.
"the Hedera network consumes much less energy than any other public ledger, which makes it ideal for sustainable initiatives, which means it can meet the ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) of modern businesses and investors," Jo explained. Users can buy, sell and display NFT on Hedera networks without worrying about the high energy consumption associated with other public networks. He added that Hedera guaranteed to provide users with cheap and predictable costs, unlike many other decentralized networks.
South Korean information technology and entertainment companies are entering the NFT industry. In January, Samsung, a competitor to LG, unveiled new plans for the NFT market based on smart TVs. Samsung said it would add NFT functions to Samsung TVs such as MICRO LED and Neo QLED.
