CTOnews.com Sept. 5, according to the official announcement of Ningde Times, on September 5, Ningde Times signed a pre-purchase agreement with the city of Debrecen, Hungary, marking the official start of the Hungarian factory in Ningde era.

The Ningde-era Hungarian factory, located in the industrial park south of Debrecen, covers an area of 221 hectares, and the first plant will break ground in 2022. The project has an investment of 7.34 billion euros and a planned production capacity of 100GWh.

CTOnews.com learned that in August this year, Ningde Times held the ninth meeting of the third board of directors and examined and passed the "Bill on Investment in the Construction of a New Energy Battery Industry Base in Hungary", which means that Ningde Times intends to build a battery industry base in Hungary.

Ningde Times said that with the rapid development of foreign countries, especially the European new energy industry, the power battery market is continuing to grow. In order to further deepen the company's global strategic layout, promote overseas business development, and meet the needs of overseas markets, Ningde Times will invest in the construction of a new energy battery industry base in Debrecen, Hungary, with a total investment of no more than 7.34 billion euros (about 51.086 billion yuan).
