As of 17:00 on September 5, some base stations in Luding County and other affected areas were out of service due to power outages and other reasons, and there was no total communication block at the township level. At present, the communications industry in Sichuan Province is making every effort to repair damaged communication facilities, dispatching a total of 360 support personnel, 120 emergency communications support vehicles, 219 power generators and 29 satellite phones. After the earthquake, the Sichuan Provincial Communications Administration attached great importance to it and immediately launched the emergency communication guarantee second-level response according to the case, immediately deployed the emergency repair work in the communications industry, organized emergency communication support teams, and rushed to the disaster area to direct emergency rescue and disaster relief. At the same time, together with the Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department, we urgently dispatched the "large high-altitude full-network emergency communications UAV" to take off from Zigong Airport to carry out public communication coverage tasks over the epicenter of the quake, and set up "air base stations" to provide communication guarantee services for rescue and disaster relief commands and disaster victims.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will further strengthen guidance and coordination and organize the communications industry in Sichuan Province to restore communication services to the normal level in the disaster-stricken areas as soon as possible.
