Recently, the company announced that the Sion solar electric car will start production in the second half of 2023, which will be produced by Finland's Valmet Automotive company.

As of September 1 this year, the number of bookings for the car has exceeded 20, 000, with an average booking price of 2000 euros, motor1 reported yesterday. According to Sono Motors's website, the Sion solar electric vehicle currently has a deposit of 500 euros and a price of 29900 euros. After completing the capacity climb, Sono plans to produce about 257000 Sion vehicles within seven years.

According to reports, Sion solar electric vehicles are equipped with solar panels on almost every plane, including the hood, roof, fender and trunk. However, considering the cost of the car after the accident, the front face of the car is not equipped with solar panels. Sono officials say the car has 456 solar cells and can provide a range of about 112km a week, but that number could double if the weather is good.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition to solar panels, the Sion solar electric car also has a 54 kWh battery pack and a WLTP range of 305km. The battery has a charging power limit of 75 kW and has a bi-directional charging function, which can turn the car into a mobile power station with an output power of 2.7 kW. In terms of power, the Sion solar electric vehicle is equipped with a 120Nm motor with a maximum torque of 270Nm.
