OLED screen is also very suitable for gamers. On the one hand, its refresh rate can be very high, on the other hand, its response time is much higher than that of the traditional LCD screen. At the same time, MSI also has built-in TrueColor color software, in which there are multiple sets of color schemes, the default is suitable for the game "gamer" mode, in addition, there are more standard sRGB and AdobeRGB, DCI P3 color gamut and other preset options.
We adjusted the screen to the highest 2.5K 240Hz and manually adjusted the brightness to the highest 373nits under SDR. Then the gamut color accuracy test is carried out with the color calibrator, and it is measured that in the default game mode, the gamut covers almost 99.8% of the sRGB,93.2% Adobe RGB and 98.8% of the P3 gamut, which is already quite excellent.
If you switch to sRGB mode, the system will reduce the color limit, and the color gamut volume is close to 100%, which perfectly solves the problem of OLED supersaturation in Windows system.
Finally, let's test the DCI P3 color gamut mode, which is the most accurate and suitable for content creators.
We also tested the color performance after manually switching to the DCI P3 color gamut. The measured color gamut covers 100% sRGB, 84.7% Adobe RGB and 99.8% DCI P3, which is more comprehensive than the default mode coverage.
Color accuracy performance is OK, the average color offset value Δ E 0.74, the maximum Δ E 2.34, not color correction will not be uncomfortable, after color correction is the professional level of color performance.
In HDR mode, its local peak brightness can reach about 550560 nit, which basically meets the requirements of HDR600. Watching HDR video is more obvious, real and shocking.
Next, let's take a look at its high 240Hz refresh rate. As we all know, e-sports professional buddies often use high refresh rate monitors and use MPRT flicker to further reduce LCD latency in order to minimize screen delay. However, no matter how hard LCD tries, its response speed is not comparable to that of OLED monitors. It supports the fastest response of 0.2ms, and it can take the lead in playing e-sports games like CSGO.
In order to show you the advantage of 0.2MS response time intuitively, the author chose another 120Hz LCD screen to run UFO TEST at the same time as a comparison, set the shutter speed to the same, and then took a picture. In contrast, MSI attacks GE67 HX, a 0.2ms response OLED screen with much less shadow, which can bring better competitive state in the game and avoid the occurrence of 3D vertigo to some extent.
Another major feature of the hardware analysis attack on GE67 HX is that it comes with intel's latest 12-generation Core HX flagship processor. The so-called HX flagship processors are a class of mobile standard pressure processors with 55W TDP. First of all, the game of e-sports, we selected "CS:GO", "PUBG", "Apex Legend" and "Forever robbery" four mainstream e-sports games for testing. Because it is equipped with 240Hz's ultra-high refresh rate OLED screen, it is very clear in these competitive games against the clock. In "CS:GO", the measured running BenchMark can run up to 474 frames at the highest picture quality, which can run all over this electronic competition screen.
"PUBG" measured in 2.5K highest picture quality can run to an average of about 175frames, fast movement is also clear and sharp.
The performance of "Apex Legend" is also very similar, reaching about 170frames at the highest quality of 2.5K.
