CTOnews.com, Sept. 4, Samsung announced that its free Samsung TV Plus service will receive a new Logo, updated UI (with better visibility and dark theme), and more programs for people to watch. As the service applies to more Samsung devices, the company hopes its new orange and blue Logo will reflect the service's cross-compatibility.

To maintain user participation, Samsung said it was expanding the programming content of its service. In the United States, it has added Top Gear, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS and so on. British viewers will be able to watch the latest season of "America's got Talent", while German viewers will be able to watch Das Boot, the first homegrown 8K TV show.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung will add dark themes and further improve visibility when it comes to the user interface UI. Adding a dark theme is a good thing for viewers who watch in a dark environment, and their eyes will be more adaptable to the environment. Because people will sit away from the TV, increased visibility will make the service easier to use.

Samsung said it would continue to invest in content, exclusive premieres and partnerships to give users a better experience. Samsung also said that content on the platform would remain free, providing alternatives to streaming services such as Netflix for users who do not want or cannot pay for similar services.
