CTOnews.com Sept. 4, Microsoft released Stream, a video management tool for the enterprise market, as early as 2017. It also comes with a mobile app that can receive updates from time to time. Recently, Microsoft announced that it is rebuilding its Stream mobile application from scratch and now offers a Beta beta.

Microsoft has brought new design changes, including a redesigned home page, seamless access to classic and SharePoint versions of Stream, and a "richer" experience when watching videos. Microsoft believes that this restructuring of the app will provide enterprise users with a leaner and better way to access their Microsoft Teams records, mark videos as favorites for quick access, and share them with their colleagues. The features are summarized as follows:

Use your personalized home page to return previously shared videos, meeting minutes, and collaboration updates.

Use keywords or author names to search for any video in your organization.

Catch up with missed meetings through the dedicated meeting filter on the home page.

Mark important videos as favorites and find them in the library section at any time.

You can share useful videos with your colleagues at the click of a button.

Seamless access to Stream Classic and Stream (on SharePoint) video content.

CTOnews.com has learned that Stream Mobile beta can be used on Android and iOS. The report can be provided directly to Microsoft by expanding the left navigation pane in the Stream Beta application and clicking send feedback. Microsoft is expected to launch a new universally available version of the Stream application regionally later this year.

Still, Microsoft has set some expectations to remind customers that Beta beta versions currently available and those that will be widely available this year may lack some key features, such as video recording and uploading and offline downloads. Users can expect these features to be released in 2023.
