CTOnews.com Sept. 4, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 folding screen "hot" pre-order has expanded from South Korea to more markets. The two new folding screen phones exceeded pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 series in the first week of their launch in South Korea. Recently, according to Samsung, the two new folding screen phones have also set a new pre-order record in Taiwan.

Samsung said bookings for the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 recorded by Smart Pavilion and Samsung Mall increased by 20 per cent compared with 2021 folding screen phones. There has been a huge leap in the popularity of Galaxy Z Fold 4, with twice as many pre-orders as Z Fold 3.

CTOnews.com learned that Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 were also successful, according to pre-order data recorded by Taiwan's Samsung Mall and Smart Pavilion. Both folding screen devices account for about 50% of all bookings.

In terms of specific models, 256GB storage version Galaxy Z Flip 4 has covered nearly 60% of Flip 4 pre-orders. 512GB and 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 4 models cover 50%. In terms of color, 30 per cent of Galaxy Z Flip 4 customers prefer purple, while 40 per cent of Galaxy Z Fold 4 customers prefer green.

Samsung said that customers who buy Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Z Flip 4 from September 2 will receive a 25W quick charger, as well as other accessories and protective cases for free. Users can also get a rebate of NT $500 (about RMB113) and a four-month free YouTube Premium subscription through Samsung Pay EasyCard.

Samsung officials say the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have longer battery life and higher durability than ever before. It is also equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 chip, which is one of the few folding screen phones with IP waterproof grade.
